Never Grow Up

“That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don’t remember what it’s like to be twelve years old.”
— Walt Disney: Was founder of Walt Disney Productions

I can remember being 12 years old and thinking about all the things I was going to do. The history I would make and the life I dreamed of. I then started experiencing the disappointments that come with life. The people in my life started telling me all the things that are supposed to make me feel better. Things like, “life is just liked that” and “you need to learn to be satisfied with what you have.”

Today, I strive to do exactly what Walt Disney is proposing. I still have hopes and dreams for my life and I refuse to give up on those dreams. I spend my time putting my self in the shoes of a 12 year and seeing my present and future as abundant with infinite possibilities. If you can let go of all the bad memories and mistakes of the past you can do this.

I think you should never be satisfied. I encourage you to enjoy every moment but always be looking to make your life better. When you were young, you had no fear of the future or that you could not achieve the life your were dreaming of. The only reason you are unhappy today or have fear regarding your hopes and dreams for the future, is your memories of the past. Let the past go and see every moment as a teenager. The possibilities will become infinite and your world will be abundant.
